Guide

StoneRecord collects the holdings, letters and earnings calls of top overseas value investors and turns them into plain Chinese (and English) summaries. This page helps you get started — no deep investing background needed.

Not sure where to start?

Try this: (1) open the Ranking on the Signal Graph and pick a "strongest signal" — a stock the most mutually-independent managers are bullish on; (2) tap it to see what each manager says and how management framed the latest results; (3) for depth, read the full deep-read.

A few terms, in one line

13F: a U.S. SEC filing that managers overseeing more than $100M must submit each quarter, disclosing their U.S. stock holdings — how we track what institutions are buying and selling.

Convergence: multiple mutually-independent top managers landing on the same theme/company — the more they converge, the more likely it is a real signal rather than noise.

Signal score: how many mutually-independent top managers are bullish at once — public praise in letters, real-money 13F holdings and 13D activist stakes all add to it, with "said it AND did it" cross-confirmation scoring highest. Higher score, stronger signal.

Triangulation: a company that is both bullish in managers' letters and backed with real money — held in 13F or targeted by a 13D stake — "what they say" and "what they do" cross-confirm each other, the strongest signal.

Earnings call: the quarterly call a company holds with analysts after reporting results, where management walks through the numbers and takes questions.

Where the data comes from

Holdings from SEC EDGAR 13F filings, letters from each firm's own site, earnings-call notes from Motley Fool — all auto-translated and refreshed weekly.

How to follow along

The site updates automatically every Monday (new research, 13F holdings, the signal graph). Two ways to keep up: (1) RSS — subscribe with any reader (Follow / Feedly / NetNewsWire), one feed for research and one for 13D/G signals; (2) RedNote — weekly picks are posted on the official account.

About this site

StoneRecord is an independent personal project, built by an individual investor with years of overseas-market research experience. It grew out of a belief in long-termism: reading primary sources and learning from genuinely patient capital beats chasing market noise — and language should not stand between readers and the world's best investment thinking.

The site is entirely free, has no affiliation with any covered institution, sells no stock tips or paid groups, and carries no conflicts of interest. Everything here is an organized digest of public information, for research only.

Summaries are AI-generated and may contain errors — always verify against the originals, which are linked on every page. Spotted a mistake? Email us (with the article link) and we'll fix it promptly; content is removed immediately upon a rights holder's request. Contact: zishengtong@gmail.com
